XRechnung Mobile stores all data exclusively locally on your device.
No data is transmitted to external servers, no tracking tools are used,
and no data is shared with third parties – unless you actively share invoices via email or AirDrop.

2. What Data is Processed?
2.1 Customer Data
You can store the following information about your customers:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Address (street, postal code, city)
- Creation date
2.2 Invoice Data
When creating invoices, the following is stored:
- Invoice number
- Invoice date
- Line items (description, quantity, price)
- Tax rate and amounts
- Payment due date
- Invoice status (draft, sent, paid, cancelled)
- Notes
- File paths to generated PDF and XML files
2.3 Company Data (App Settings)
You can store your own company information:
- Company name
- Address
- Phone and email
- Tax identification number
- Bank details (IBAN, BIC, bank name)
- Default tax rate and payment terms
- Invoice background image (optional)
2.4 Generated Documents
The app creates and stores:
- PDF invoices
- XRechnung-compliant XML files
3. Where is Data Stored?
Local Storage:
All data is stored exclusively locally on your iPhone/iPad:
- CoreData Database: Customer and invoice data
- UserDefaults: App settings and company data
- File System (Documents folder): PDF/XML files and background image
The data remains on your device and is not stored in iCloud
or on external servers.
4. Is Data Shared with Third Parties?
No, unless you actively decide to do so.
Data is only shared when you:
- Email: Send an invoice via email to a customer (uses iOS Mail app)
- AirDrop: Share an invoice via AirDrop
- Share Sheet: Share an invoice via other apps (WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.)
The app itself does not automatically transmit any data to servers,
cloud services, or third parties.
5. App Permissions
5.1 Photo Library
Purpose: To upload a background image for your invoices.
Usage: Optional, only if you want to add a layout image.
Permission: You will be asked for permission the first time.
5.2 Email (MessageUI)
Purpose: To send invoices via email.
Usage: Only when you actively choose "Send via Email".
Data: Recipient email is pre-filled from customer data.
6. Tracking and Analytics
✅ No Tracking Tools
The app does not use:
- ❌ No Google Analytics
- ❌ No Firebase
- ❌ No advertising SDKs
- ❌ No crash reporting tools
- ❌ No usage statistics
Your app usage is not monitored or analyzed.
7. Data Security
The app uses iOS security mechanisms:
- App Sandbox: Data is isolated from other apps
- Device Encryption: Data is automatically encrypted when the device is locked
- Access Control: Only you have access to your data
- Face ID/Touch ID: Use iOS device lock for protection
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
8.1 Right to Access
You can view all your data in the app at any time.
8.2 Right to Deletion
You can at any time:
- Delete individual customers (swipe left → Delete)
- Delete invoices
- Delete all data (uninstall the app)
8.3 Right to Data Portability
You can export and share your invoices as PDF and XML.
8.4 Right to Rectification
You can edit and correct all data directly in the app at any time.
9. Data Deletion
9.1 Delete Individual Data
- Customers: Swipe left in the customer list
- Invoices: Deleted when a customer is deleted
- Background image: In Settings → "Remove Image"
9.2 Delete All Data
Uninstall the app from your iPhone/iPad.
All local data will be automatically deleted.
10. Backups
If you create an iPhone/iPad backup via iTunes or iCloud,
the app data will be stored in your backup. This is done by iOS,
not by the app itself.
Recommendation: Use encrypted backups to protect your data.
11. No Processing of Minors' Data
This app is aimed at adult freelancers and entrepreneurs.
No data from minors under 16 years of age is knowingly processed.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy to adapt it to
changed legal situations or app features.
The current version can always be found in the app under
"Settings → Privacy" or on our website.
